Baby Jade | Newborn Photography, Jacksonville NC

Jeness, Jade's mommy, and I went to high school together.  Since she is 3 years younger, we didn't share any classes together except art class.  I secretly wanted us to be the same age so we could have more classes together.  But I guess being the older, wiser one does have its advantages :)  Jeness has such an explosive personality and is so much fun to be around.  I am so glad we met when we did and have continued to keep in touch.

Jake and Jeness, I feel so honored that you trusted me with your engagement photos and now with photos of your precious angel.  I felt so much love being in your home.  Jayden is so blessed to have you guys as parents.  Congrats!

Jade's grandma brought this wonderful basket.  It made such a great prop.

Since there wasn't a whole lot of natural inside light, we ended up doing the whole session outside.  Were we hot and sweaty?  You better believe it.  Were we miserable?  Absolutely.  Was it worth it?  I think so!

**Newborn pricing is set to go up starting August 5th.  Please book an appointment before then to get the current rate.  Also it is best to photograph newborns when they are 14 days or younger.  Older newborns are harder to work with and tend to sleep less.

Dentist | Headshot Photography, Raleigh NC

Awhile ago, Dani contacted me with some very exciting news.  She is getting ready to open up her own dentistry practice in the Brier Creek area.  UNC would be so proud!  Needless to say, she was in need of some headshots for marketing and also wanted some shots of her boys.  It was so great to see the boys again!  It has been about 6 months since I last photographed baby Jackson and big brother Lucas.

Congrats Dani!  I wish you all the best!

Here is a fun slow-motion shot of Jackson falling.  He does it with such grace.

Beautiful People | Headshot Photography, Jacksonville NC

My niece, who is a cosmetologist, has an amazing gift for doing hair and makeup, among other things.  It has been so awesome to watch Kristina blossom into this talented artist.  I am so proud of her!  Last month, she told me she needed headshots of her work for her portfolio/website.  I hope all that hard work will bring her much success and more clients than she knows what to do with.

These are her real clients, by the way.  Although they look like professional models, they aren't.  But could be!  Here are some of my favorites.  I couldn't have been more happy with the results.

If you are in the Jacksonville, NC area, book an appointment with Kristina.  She'll hook you up with a nice do.

20 Fingers + 20 Toes | Newborn Twin Photography, Chapel Hill NC

I must admit I was really nervous when Mom ask me to photograph her twin girls.  They were several weeks old, which is older than I like to photograph.  But they were just as sweet, curly and sleepy.  Our session could not have been more perfect!  Meet Miss Elliott and Miss Charlotte at 23 days.  I am so glad these girls have each other.

Elliott is 11 minutes older than her sister.

Charlotte loves to stick out that tongue.

This shot was one of the most challenging.  You wouldn't know it, but they were both crying in sync.  While Mom was calming one, I was calming the other.

Congrats on those sweet, little angels!  They are so loved!
