That night as it was snowing, I asked my wonderful husband, Doug, if we could take pictures tomorrow if there was still snow. He surprisingly said "yes." He must have been in a really good mood because he never wants to take pictures. Never! I think it's because I try to be a perfectionist while taking photographs and it quickly becomes torture for him. I don't blame him, really. After all, I did ask him to remove his toboggan a few times in the freezing cold and made him take off his glasses the entire time (he has transition lenses.) But I know one day he will thank me for all the memories that we had together when we were young.

The Morris family and I headed out to Fearrington Village. Don't let these pictures fool you. It was a blistering, cold day. The family handled it well. We did go indoors a couple of times to warm up.

They brought along their dog, Boss. I chuckled when they told me his name. Boss is definitely the boss. He did not like it when I played with Caroline. What a very protective dog! And since he is the boss...I mean part of the family, they can't have a Christmas card without him. So he made his grand entrance for a brief while.

I told you about Boss now let me tell you about Charlie, Cammie's husband. This guy is so sweet to his wife. I remember Cammie telling me that he surprised her with a "pushing" gift after Caroline was born. He redesigned a ring that her mother gave her. And he recently surprised her once more. His early Christmas present to his wife was a brand new Lexus!!! (in Carolina blue, of course.) So sweet! Here is the sweet, sweet family.
