Session

Your session can be in the comfort of your home, a local park or another destination of your choice. You always feel more at ease when you are in your own home. And being a new mother, it can be stressful to pack all things and leave the house. If you choose to have the session on location that can be arranged too. Prepare to have a 3 hour session for newborns. This allows time for feeding and comforting, if needed. I prefer to photograph my little subjects in the nude around 6-10 days old. Older newborns tend to sleep less and do not curl up as easily. Newborn acne and colic may flare up at around 1.5-2 weeks of age, as well.

Children tend to do best in the morning. As the day goes on they get more and more tired. Please allow them to get a full nights rest and have a full stomach the day of their session. Bring different outfits to add some variety to the session. A child's session usually lasts 1-1.5 hours.

The $150 session fee is included in all the Portrait Collections. The session fee covers up to 2 children, each additional child is $25.00. The session fee includes 1 to 3 hours of photographing in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, and an online proof presentation of 20-30 post-processed images.
